File manager is one of Net Transport most useful features. Net Transport categorizes files into categories. Every downloaded file stored in categories will be moved to that specified hard disk directory. For example: every job saved in the category "MP3" will be moved to "c:\download\mp3". When one MP3 is downloaded and placed into the "MP3" category, the actual file itself is also moved to directory "c:\download\mp3". If there is too many files in same category, which maybe degrade manager performance, user could create subcategories within this category and classify part files into these subcategories to obtain better performance. Net Transport allows user to create as many categories and subcategories as he desires. User can also change previously downloaded files to any category at any time within Net Transport via "Drag & Drop". Because the actual file is moved while moving the download job, "Drag & Drop" within Net Transport makes management more integrated.
Name
Category name can not be duplicate.
Directory
Corresponding hard disk directory. Click the right side push button to browse and select folder. Path will be created if not existed.
Select the parent category
Selected category is the parent category of being created category.
Change subcategory directory properties
Rename the current directory path, at the same time change the parent path of the subcategory to this "directory path", and change the parent path of the next subcategory to the subcategory path in recursion. For example, "E:\Download\Movie" is the path of category "Movie", then "E:\Download\Movie\Western" is the path of subcategory "Western", and "E:\Download\Movie\Western\America" is the path of next subcategory "America", etc.
Move local file
Move all the files in this category to the new path set by "Directory". If "Change subcategory directory properties" is also checked, move all the files in their subcategories to their own modified new path.
Notes
Delete Job
User may delete files directly from hard disk or move to recycle bin in order to call back.
More than one jobs being modified, only fields "Referrer", "Transports" and "Login" are valid.
URL Duplicate
If URL to be downloaded is already existed in the job list, then
Check for update
Check whether the downloaded file has been updated or not.
Download again
Download again directly.
Tips
It is not necessary to specify any category while downloading, just drag the finished job to the desired category.
It is not good that there is too many jobs in one category, this maybe slow down management performance, which appears no response state but still alive. Suggest not beyond 2000 jobs each category if user machine is lower than Celeron 333 (writer's CPU), the higher machine owns performance, the more jobs can be put into one category. But on C333 Net Transport spends only 3 seconds creating 1000 items, which is still higher than same category download tool.
Click the columns of downloaded categories except "Job" to reorder, these fields are "Name", "Size", "URL", "Create Time" and "Complete Time".
